Kejriwal is not a heroine, wouldn't hug him forcibly: Lalu Prasad

Patna, May 4: RJD chief Lalu Prasad, raking up an old issue, took a dig at Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal saying that Kejriwal was no heroine and that he wouldn't hug him forcibly.

Speaking to reporters, Lalu lashed out at Kejriwal, who has been daring the BJP to arrest Congress President Sonia Gandhi after she was named in an Italian court in the AgustaWestland scam.

Lalu said that Kejriwal must refrain from making such statements and said that it was 'too much.' Lalu went on to add that Kejriwal was talking like Subramanian Swamy on the whole issue.

On asking about his embrace with Kejriwal in Nov 2015 during the oath taking ceremony of Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar Lalu said: "Why would I forcibly hug him. Is he (Kejriwal) some heroine whom I'll pull and hug?"

The image of Lalu hugging Kejriwal had gone viral sparking rumours of an alleged alliance between the two parties. Shortly after the incident, Kejriwal said that 'Lalu had pulled him and hugged him on the stage.

"We have not formed an alliance. We are against his record of corruption and we are against it," Kejriwal had said then.
