JD(U) MLA proposes implementation of 'Right to Bribe' to curb corruption
Right to Bribe, as Rajiv Ranjan, a senior JD(U) MLA likes to call it should be enacted in the state as he feels that Bihar cannot overcome the problem of corruption.
"If you can't rein in corruption, you should legalise it," he defended his statement. Ranjan added that he would move a private members bill for a law to lend jegal sanctity to the act of taking bribe.
Meanwhile the comment has left Bihar CM Jitan Ram Manji who said that the state government would take all the necessary actions against the MLA.
This however didn't deter Ranjan who said that he was not afraid of raising his voice against corruption. "I am ready for any sacrifice," he said. He added that Manji's government was not new to corruption and that this existed when NDA-II was voted to office in 2010.
