JD(U) Legislator Paswan suspended for 6 years post Narendra Modi meet
"Party President Sharad Yadav has suspended Paswan from JD(U) for six years," said JD(U) President Bashistha Narayan Singh.
Sources said the he may join BJP by October 27
Earlier, Paswan was suspended from the JD(U), following his anti-party activities. JD(U) revoked Paswan's suspension in 2008. Party spokesperson Ravindra Singh had said that the party National President Sharad Yadav, the then MP, had revoked the suspension of Paswan.
Paswan was a minister in Kumar's previous government from 2005-10, is presently a party MLA from Mohania in Kaimur district.
He also served as minister in Lalu Yadav's RJD government before switching over to JD(U) in 2005.
Paswan, a four-term MLA and two-time MP had also twice defeated Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar in parliamentary elections.
Sources said the he may join BJP by October 27, when the Gujarat CM is scheduled to address his "Hunkaar Rally" in Patna.
