Patna, Sept 9: Ahead of the upcoming Bihar assembly elections on Tuesday, Sept 8 the battle of power took a new level.
Poll-bound Bihar is one of the least developed states of India. At the time when assembly elections are about to take place, the political leaders of the state are indulged in mud slinging.
We are talking about the former chief minister of Bihar, Jitan Ram Manjhi who made an irresponsible remark and said, "the number of rape cases are increasing in the state and such crimes are commited by a particular caste of people."
While talking to media, he gave this statement when he was discussing about the law and order situation in the state. Then, he also spewed venom against state Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
"The situation of law and order in the state is becoming worse day-by-day and Nitish Kumar is responsible for it", he added. [Bihar to hold 5-phase assembly elections: Polls to begin from Oct 12, Results on Nov 8]
