Patna, July 18: RJD chief Lalu Yadav on Sunday thanked Lok Jansakati Party (LJP) chief and NDA minister Ram Vilas Paswan for liking his tweet on Bihar's development record.
While posting a screenshot of Paswan liking his tweet, Lalu said : "Thank u Paswan Ji for endorsing my stand that Bihar is outperforming the so called developed states ruled by BJP."
Earlier on July 16th, Lalu posted a news report titled "Bihar Tops the List In State's Growth Rate Gujarat Drops To 10th In Ranking' followed with a remark in Hindi, 'Tathakathit Vikshit Rajyon ko buri tarah pachharta hua Bihar 15.6 per cent vikas dar ke sath desh ka awwal rajya! Kahan hain mangalraj wale' (While leaving behind so-called developed states, Bihar with 15.6% growth rate has emerged on top. Where are the people who cry 'Mangal Raj')."
While taking a stand on Lalu's post for development in the state, JD(U) spokesperson Neeraj Kumar told OneIndia that " Bihar is a fast-growing state and now Paswan is clear about the development agenda of our party.
The development survey is done by NITI Aayog and they have declared Bihar as a fast-growing state as compared to Gujarat".
"The BJP has always criticised Bihar government on development and the law and order situation in Bihar, but the people of Bihar rejected the BJP and PM Modi's Gujarat model. Even in Gujarat, the BJP model of development has been exposed by Hardik Patel," he said.
Meanwhile, Paswan said described the reports of his liking Lalu's tweet as "false and mischievous", saying he did not 'like' any of Lalu's tweets.
"I have just read in newspapers that I have liked the tweet of Lalu Prasad Yadav, which is totally false and mischievous," Paswan said in a tweet. "I don't read the tweet of Lalu Prasad Yadav as he is never serious in his statements," Paswan said in a rejoinder.
