Yashwant Sinha wants homosexual partners of the US diplomats arrested
He said this was a ‘clear violation of diplomatic code of conduct."
Slamming the US authorities for the ill-treatment meted out on Khobragade, Sinha said that no country in the world would treat a diplomat like this. "No friendly country in the world will treat a diplomat in the manner in which US authorities have treated the head of Consulate General in New York and no words are strong enough to condemn this action of US authorities," he said.
Sinha: They (US Diplomats) should also face the law of the land
After the SC gave the verdict on Section 377, Sinha said that no special treatment should be given to the US diplomats who are living in the country. "They should also face the law of the land,' he said.
"In this particular case what we should do is again I learn from media reports that there are a number of companions of US diplomats posted here in New Delhi, same sex companions, they have all been issued visas.
What the Government of India can do immediately is to cancel those visas, arrest all these companions, put them behind bars and do what you like with them and prosecute them because they are staying in India in violation of our law at the moment," Sinha said.
