New Delhi, Jan 23: A 'hurt' Anna Hazare wonders 'why did people who were a part of the India Against Corruption' movement join politics.
Hazare, who said that he was hurt after Kiran Bedi joined the BJP, spoke to The Economic Times (read more) and said: "I don't understand how and why leaders who had taken up the Lokpal cause have now joined the political parties."
"Politics and elections have become very complex and I do not now wish to comment further about any of these leaders," he added.
This comes after Bedi joined the BJP last week ahead of the Delhi Assembly election.
Hazare said that he would intensify his agitation for the Janlokpal after the Delhi assembly elections. "I will fight for the Lokpal alone," he said.
Meanwhile, Bedi had earlier this week said that she had tried calling Hazare and wished to speak to him but the latter did not want to talk.
