Delhi CM Sheila Dikshit, who gave details of the party's election manifesto on Wednesday said that the centralised body will rid the city of all agencies that cause delays in the implementation of government schemes.
Dikshit said that the city required a single command. "There is a problem of multiplicity of authorities in the city. What is required is a single command so no confusion is created. What takes a year to complete can be done in a matter of a few months," she said.
Dikshit also plans to pay special focus on girls', women schemes
The manifesto also plans to construct double decker flyovers in order to ease the traffic congestion in the city. Dikshit said that the party will construct 'Shramik Ashray Kendra' also known as labour holding areas for construction workers, who migrate to the city.
"In order to make Delhi slum-free, in-situ development and resettlement of slums will be taken up apart from constructing large number of dwelling units," she added. Dikshit also plans to devote special attention to women and girls' features.
