VK Singh refutes charges against him
New Delhi, Sept 21: Ex-Army Chief General VK Singh finally broke his silence on Saturday regarding allegations made against him in the misuse of funds.

According to a report leaked to The Indian Express, of the many allegations made one was that Singh wanted to topple the government in Jammu and Kashmir.

Singh lashed out at the report and said: "The reports and claims made are politically motivated. It is laughable that in Rs 1 crore you can topple the government of the state." According to the reports, the motive behind the the plot to overthrow the government in Jammu and Kashmir was that the general had differences with Omar Abdullah, over the continuance of the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA).

He added saying that the Army had launched many youth and civic activities in J&K." Was that to topple the government? All the Army did was to try and stabilise the state," he said. 

Singh added saying that one cannot stop laughing about one stupid allegation made by the Indian Express.
