TMC MP produces mobile pictures to expose Lok Sabha chaos
The live telecasting of the proceedings in the House was stopped leading to a massive uproar. Although it was said that the blackout was caused by technical glitch, the opposition and media critcised it as an effort to gag democracy.
Why the telecast wasn't restored if there was a glitch, asked Trivedi
Trivedi said the bill was passed amid chaos and questioned why the proceedings didn't take place after restoring the telecast if indeed there was a glitch. Leader of the Opposition Sushma Swaraj had said earlier that it was a tactical and not a technical glitch.
MPs of the JD(U) and TMC had staged a walkout to protest against the incident and also the decision to bifurcate the state of Andhra Pradesh.
The Samajwadi Party member present at the television debate asked the decision of Speaker Meira Kumar who reportedly ordered stopping of the telecasts but KT Rama Rao of the Telangana Rashtra Samiti defended the decision and even said that the debate was creating a mountain out of a mole hill.
