New Delhi, Nov 29: The woman journalist, who was allegedly sexually harassed by former editor-in-chief of Tehelka magazine Tarun Tejpal, on Friday accused the later of rape. In a fresh statement, she said what Tejpal had done to her was legally rape and that the issue sets up a litmus test for the new law. Tejpal had allegedly misconducted with the journalist, who was also an employee at Tehelka, inside the elevator of a hotel in Panaji during an event organised by the organisation on November 7 and 8.

The victim said she was fighting for nothing but her own integrity and accused Tejpal of trying to protect his wealth, influence and privilege.

In her hard-hitting statement, the victim also said that the right to her body is her own and not that of her employer.

Tejpal was seen at Delhi airport on Friday afternoon from where he left for Goa. Sources said he could be arrested on the flight if his bail plea gets rejected.
