Sushma Swaraj: Talks with Pak were on a positive note
Swaraj while addressing the mediapersons from her office she told that her focus would be on showcasing the the country's strength to the world and to improve relations with other countries.
Speaking about the meeting between PM Narendra Modi and SAARC leaders on Tuesday, Swaraj said that Modi wanted SAARC to reach greater heights in the international arena. "I assisted the PM in his talks with the heads of the state from SAARC.
The talks that took place were very successful," she said. She added that Modi had expressed his desire that SAARC countries must not bring up contentious bilateral issues.'
On asking about the meeting with Pak PM Nawaz Sharif, Swaraj said that the talks with Pak were also on a positive note. "PM told Pakistan that the sounds of talks must not get lost int he sound of bombs," she said.
