Sushma Swaraj comes to the rescue of Indian woman stuck in Germany
New Delhi, Feb 3: External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has once again come to the rescue of an Indian in need. Swaraj on Tuesday stepped in to help a distressed Indian woman who is currently stuck in Germany.
The woman, Gurpreet posted a video on Twitter alleging that she and her seven-year-old daughter were being kept in a refugee camp in Germany by her husband's family.
In the video the woman is seen pleading and saying: "I was duped by my husband's family to move to Germany. I plead to the Government of India to bring me and my daughter back to India immediately."
Meanwhile, Swaraj promptly replied to her video asking for her phone number. Soon after Swaraj replied: "Gurpreet - I have got the report from our Embassy in Germany. CG Frankfurt is in touch with you. He has spoken to your father also. We will help you."

However, this is not the first time that Swaraj has used Twitter to respond to people in distress. Last year in May, Swaraj's ministry helped and rescued an Indian woman who was being held in South Africa.
The woman's brother reached out to Swaraj on Twitter and she responded and finally brought back the woman safely to India.
