Speaking to the CNN-IBN in an interview, Kumar said those who term the RSS as communal are moork (fools).
The saffron leader also admitted during the interview that the RSS is managing the BJP's campaign in the key state of Uttar Pradesh to ensure high voter turnouts. He said Modi's close aide and former Gujarat minister Amit Shah is the face of the campaign but on the ground, it is the RSS which is making all efforts to ensure high turnouts.

Indresh Kumar, who lashed out at Vishwa Hindu Parishad chief Pravin Togadia for his extremists views, said such people had no place in democracy. He also said that it is not right to compare Narendra Modi's personal affair with that of senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh. He said while Modi is a 'jogi', Singh is a 'bhogi'.
The RSS leader also rubbished reports that BJP patriarch LK Advani was dissatisfied with Modi's annointment as the prime ministerial candidate. He said Advani never had any problem with Modi and just objected to the timing of the annointment.
