Harshvardhan hits out at Congress
New Delhi, Oct 29: "Rahul Gandhi's rally in Delhi on Sunday, Oct 27 was a flop show," said Harshvardhan, BJP's chief ministerial candidate for Delhi.

Hitting out at the Congress, Harshvardhan said that 'lack of people's participation in Rahul's rally on Sunday shows that Congress is all set to face defeat in the upcoming assembly elections.

"The Mangolpuri constituency has been a Congress stronghold. PWD Minister Raj Kumar Chouhan represents it. Despite their best efforts, they could not bring more than 5000 people. It was a flop show,' he said.

Harshvardhan went on to add that Rahul Gandhi's rally was nothing compared to Narendra Modi's Hunkar rally, where the crowd turned up in lakhs.

'Congress frustrated over Modi being named as PM candidate'

He said that for the past 15 years the Delhi government had done nothing for the people and now the people wanted to get rid of the corrupt Congress government. "There is nothing like government in the country and in Delhi. One can see anarchy, loot price rise, corruption, and lack of accountability," he said.

"People are suffering due to corruption and price rise," he added.

Harshvardhan also lashed out at people who were questioning the timing of the bomb blasts at Modi's rally in Patna. "Comments by some Congress leaders on the issue are totally unacceptable. They are frustrated over Modi being anointed as the Prime Ministerial candidate," he said.

He said that senior BJP leaders like Narendra Modi, LK Advani, Rajnath Singh and others will campaign in Delhi.
