Jaitley wrote in his blog: "Arnab Goswami's interview with Rahul Gandhi was a lesson for the interviewer. There are advantages in letting the guest speak. By speaking the guest may even expose his own inadequacies."
Goswami is often accused of not allowing panelists or interviewees on his channel to speak much but do all the talking himself.
Jaitley, who made a point-by-point rebuttal of Rahul Gandhi over the points that he spoke on during the interview, said after watching the interview and reading its transcript, the question that crossed his mind was " What has Rahul Gandhi to offer to this country?" or "Is he too confused to get into the specifics and therefore goes into the generalities?"
Arun Jaitley questioned Rahul Gandhi's utility, asked if he is too confused
Rahul Gandhi criticised Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, who is also the BJP's prime ministerial candidate for the next Lok Sabha election, for "abetting and aiding" the Gujarat riots in 2002 while defended his own party over the anti-Sikh riots of 1984.
A massive political fight broke out over the Congress leader's remarks subsequently with the BJP and Shiromani Akali Dal taking strong exception to him.
