Speaking to a number of rickshaw pullers, Rahul Gandhi said that 'our intention is to build a strong base to live for the poor.'
The rickshaw pullers lamented about their living and economic condition. Some even spoke about the atrocities committed against them by police officials.
Some rickshaw pullers even demanded rickshaw stands that were present during Indira Gandhi's time.
Rahul said that 'not many leaders today go to the people to realise their pain. Am not one of them.' "Without you the city can never develop, so you must get respect. I could realise your issues only after this interaction," he told them.
