Protests erupt outside Tihar Jail
New Delhi, May 21: Hours after AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal was sent to judicial custody after he failed to furnish a bond in the Nitin Gadkari defamation case, protests erupted outside Tihar Jail, where Kejriwal has been lodged.

Protests soon erupted outside Tihar Jail by AAP supporters and leaders. Police officials had to forcibly evict AAP supporters as they continued raising slogans outside the jail.

Section 144 has been imposed and police resorted to lathicharge and began physically removing people.

AAP leaders Manish Sisodia, Yogendra Yadav and Jarnail Singh were also among those who protested. Scuffle broke out between AAP supporters and police officials bringing the traffic to a standstill and throwing normal life out of gear.

Yadav said that 'corrupt were sitting outside while Arvind Kejriwal was in jail.' Yadav meanwhile tweeted-
