Muzaffarnagar victims miffed with Rahul Gandhi's ISI comment
The riot victims said that Rahul Gandhi's remarks during a rally had hurt them tremendously and that he 'should not politicise such incidents.'
Gandhi, had last week during a rally in Indore, said that he had received information from an Intelligence Bureau officer who had told him that 'some of the victims of the Muzaffarnagar riots were in touch with Pakistan's intelligence ISI.'
He said that the Muslim youths were in touch with the ISI as they wanted to recruit them.
Muslim leaders: Rahul must not insult the community for electoral gains
His remarks immediately sparked a huge controversy, with the Opposition and many Muslim leaders criticising Gandhi for the statement.
The Opposition also questioned how did Gandhi get such information when he was just an MP like others. Muslim leaders said that Gandhi must not insult the community for electoral gains and that he must apologise to the community.
