With characteristic indiscretion,
Katju posts his 'love' for ailing Jaya,
then deletes it

New Delhi, Oct 12: Well, there's at least one person in the whole world for whom former Supreme Court judge Markandey Katju has undying love, perhaps even respect, considering he calls her 'sherni'.

While the people of Tamil Nadu are waiting with bated breath for news on the health of Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa, who has been under intensive care at the Apollo Hospital in Chennai, Katju, with characteristic indiscretion, took to Facebook to tell the whole world that as a young man he had a crush on the former actor.

In a Facebook post, Katju said: "Jayalalithaa is a sherni and all her opponents are langoors. She will recover and be back to work."

Katju deleted the post later, but not before it had been widely circulated on social media.

He wrote: "While (sic) I was a young man and she too was young I thought she was extremely attractive and had fallen in love with her, though of course she did not know about it and it was unrequited love."

"I still find her attractive and am still in love with her and wish her a speedy recovery", the 70-year-old who, otherwise, never seems to have a good word for anyone (remember, for samplers, his recent "he has nothing in his head" comment about Amitabh Bachchan) wrote. He must have had quite a crush!

Even as he deleted the post, he could not resist putting up an old picture of him sitting opposite Jayalalithaa and titling it 'Sherni aur Sher'!
