Manmohan Singh meets Chief Ministers of the Northeastern states
Singh met the chief ministers of the Northeastern states on Tuesday and said that the development of the infrastructure in these states was a key factor for the development of the whole northeastern region that would also ensure and increse connectivity with the rest of the country.
After reviewing the progress of the infrastructure of the Northeastern states, the PM said that 'very considerable progress is being made in each of the sectors.'
Meanwhile Planning Commissions deputy chairman Montek Singh Ahluwali said that infrastructre projects in the region would be completed before the 12th Five Year Plan.
The meeting was aimed at analysing their ideas and to develop those ideas specially in the healthcare sector in the region.
