Lalu on wheels: RJD chief claims to ride cycle-rickshaw during school

Lalu claims of riding cycle-rickshaw
New Delhi, Feb 26: It seems the politicians are not able to digest the popularity that BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi got with his 'Tea-seller' popularity.

After Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi introduced 'RaGa milk' to counter NaMo tea, It's RJD chief Lalu Prasad's turn now. Lalu has already claimed that not only Modi but he too was a tea seller. And now, here comes another claim.

Lalu on Tuesday claimed that besides selling tea he paddled a cycle-rickshaw during school days. "Do you know why I rode a cycle-rickshaw to Raj Bhawan today? Because I paddled a cycle-rickshaw while studying in Miller school," Lalu told reporters in Patna.

With a large number of party workers and leaders walking behind him, the RJD chief paddled a cycle-rickshaw for two kilometre to Raj Bhawan from the Assembly to petition Governor DY Patil against the Speaker recognising 13 RJD MLAs as a separate group.

Lalu had recently claimed he sold tea from his elder brother's shop in the Veterinary college area during childhood to eke out a living and keep up his studies. He had raised questions on Modi selling tea during his childhood and claimed himself as the 'real' tea seller.

RJD workers have started 'Lalu chai dukaan' (Lalu Tea shop) in Muzaffarpur to provide free tea and biscuits to people to make them aware of the 'true colour' of Lalu and Narendra Modi.
