Rijiju will also visit Golaghat district that has witnessed a lot of tension in the past few days.
Before leaving for Guwahati Rijiju said: "We are here to assist the state government. We sent additional forces as demanded by the state government. Now it is upto the state government to use force."
Golaghat is experiencing a complete shutdown following the violence in the dictrict.
Three people died on Tuesday after protestors clashed with police officials. Police opened fire at the crowd and used batons and tear gas to disperse them.
Meanwhile Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday asked for a detailed report from the Ministry of Home Affairs about the on-going violence in the state. Assam CM Tarun Gogoi on the toher hand, blamed the Centre for lack of any help.
