Bhopal, Sept 16: Even though the BJP's veteran leader LK Advani has finally accepted the Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's nomination as the BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate for the 2014 general elections, it has also given the rival party (read Congress) a good amount of time to make 'humour' of Advani-Modi relationship.
It is quite obvious that when a party is plagued by infighting, then, rival parties are the first ones to take advantage of such situation.
In an interview to Aaj Tak news channel, the Minister of State for Power Jyotiraditya Scindia was asked a question regarding whether Rahul Gandhi has sat on the female horse in the baraat (marriage procession) of Congress, then Scindia wittily said, "BJP's bridegroom (Narendra Modi) is already sitting at the mandap (read- PM's prime ministerial post), but baraatis (Advani's camp) are not ready for wedding!"
On being asked about Congress PM candidate, Scindia voiced his support for Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi as his party's prime ministerial candidate for the Lok Sabha polls, saying it will be beneficial for the country if he leads in 2014.
Scindia voiced his support for Rahul Gandhi as his party's PM candidate.
Scindia, who is the chairman of Madhya Pradesh Congress poll campaign committee, had earlier expressed confidence that the Congress Party would win this year's assembly elections in the state.
The assembly elections in the four states of Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan are being seen a semi-final ahead of the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.
