Ink attack: Man smears ink on AAP leader Yogendra Yadav's face

New Delhi, Mar 8: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Yogendra Yadav today was attacked by ink while he was at an event in Jantar Mantar.

Yadav was on stage when the man, came from behind and smeared Yadav's face with ink. "You all saw what just happened. I don't even know who the person was. I was not able to see his face," he said. Yadav said that he was not ashamed of the incident.

"I am not ashamed of the incident. This is again an attack on the AAP. I haven't done anything wrong. All I can say is whoever was behind this, may God give him some sense," he said.

Meanwhile, the man who smeared Yadav's face with ink was nabbed and was thrashed by the crowd before the police officials intervened and took him to the nearby police station.

General Secretary of AICC, Digvijay Singh condemend the ink attack and said that 'what had happened was very bad. I condemn it.' Meanwhile Delhi BJP Chief Harshvardhan said that the person was not from BJP. "We never resort to such tactics," he said.
