India's daughter: Nirbhaya's friend terms documentary 'fake'
New Delhi, March 11: Days after the BBC documentary 'India's Daughter' was banned from being screened on Indian television, another controversy has emerged around the documentary.
This time, Nirbhaya's friend, Avanindra Pandey spoke to a news channel and told that the documentary is unbalanced and called it a 'fake.' "Only Jyoti and I know what happened on that night and the documentary is far from truth," said Pandey.
Pandey said that the content is fake and facts are hidden and that the victim's pointview is missing. He added that he didn't know the tutor Satendra, who had been featured in the documentary. "How does he know which movie I wanted to watch on that day," he asked.
Pandey further added that the documentary had dented the country's image. "The documentary showed that any individual can enter the Central Jail of our country and can interview a criminal," he said.
Pandey also said that he was approached to feature in the documentary but he refused. "I was not convinced by its motive," he said.
