New Delhi, June 16: The case of domestic violence against AAP leader Somnath Bharti took a dramatic turn on Monday after Bharti's wife addressed the media and gave details of alleged domestic violence.
Addressing a press conference, Bharti's wife Lipika Mitra said that Bharti had beat her up in front of their children and had ‘left her to die in front of her children.'
Mitra even said that she expected a fair action from Delhi Chief Minsiter Arvind Kejriwal . "After Kejriwal congratulated the woman who stood up to the traffic policeman who threatened her, I expected a fair hearing from him.
What am I asking for except freedom from an abusive marriage?" she said.
Things took a dramatic turn as Bharti's mother turned up at the press conference but was denied permission to enter the premise.
Bharti's mother said that she would live in an old age home so that her son and her daughter in law could resolve their differences.
