Gurgaon, Oct 6: Seeking permission to take leave on the occasion of his son's birth took an ugly turn in a call centre in Gurgaon, on Saturday.

According to reports, 25-year-old Sunil Kumar, who works as an executive with Serco Global Services, Udyog Vihar in Gurgaon, wanted to take an off on Sunday as his wife had delivered a baby boy, but his team leader Mukesh Bisht rejected his leave permission and asked him to come to work.

Then after verbal spat ensued between the two, both of them asked their friends to join them in fight, outside the office.

Sunil is now battling for his life in the ICU and is critical.

When Mukesh along with his five friends attacked Sunil with a dagger, then Sunil's cousin, Devendra, 30 and his friend, a medical representative, Ram Avtar, 32,  intervened, to calm them, but in the process, both of them got severely injured by sharp weapons and succumbed to injuries.

Presently, Sunil and his other friend Sanjay, are admitted in the ICU of hospital and are stated to be in a critical condition.

Meanwhile, Mukesha and other attackers are absconding.

According to HT report, a case of murder, attempt to murder and conspiracy has been registered at Udhyog Vihar police station against six men, including the team leader. One of them was arrested on Saturday.
