Foreign funding row: MHA seeks fresh explanation from AAP

MHA not satisfied with AAP's explanation
New Delhi, Dec 7: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is apparently not satisfied with the reply the Aam Aadmi  Party (AAP) has given to it, with respect to the foreign funding row saying that the explanations given by the party 'look sketchy.'

MHA now seeks proper explanation from the AAP over the issue. The ministry is likely to issue another set of questionnaire on the foreign funding issue and expects the party to give a proper explanation in the case.

MHA: Explanations given by AAP are sketchy

Weeks before Delhi could go to poll, Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde said that the MHA had received several complaints that the AAP was receiving funds from abroad to fight the Delhi assembly elections.

The AAP had then cried foul and alleged that this was a conspiracy by the BJP and the Congress against the party as they were afraid of its growing popularity.

The MHA had then given the party a questionnaire seeking explanations on the source of the donations that the party had collected.
