Don't know how many of us will be in the next Lok Sabha: Shinde

New Delhi, Feb 21: The final day of the 15th Lok Sabha saw a light mood prevailing among its members, who are otherwise mostly seen locking horns over some issue or the another. Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde, for instance, said that the members of the 15th Lok Sabha don't know whether they will be there in the 16th Lok Sabha or not. "Sit as much as you can in this House, we don't know what lies in future," he said jokingly to his fellow members in the House.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said in his farewell speech that by taking the decision on Telangana, the Lok Sabha showed that it could take the most difficult of decisions.

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi was, however, not amused with the fact that anti-corruption bills were not passed in the House. Speaking to reporters, Gandhi hit out at the opposition saying the latter always speaks against corruption but when it came to passing the bills, they didn't cooperate.
