New Delhi, Feb 22: Two days after she was attacked with an acid-like chemical, AAP leader Soni Sori may lose her eyesight according to doctors at the Apollo Hospital in Delhi.
Doctors say that though Sori's condition is stable now, the swelling on her face has increased leading to darkening of the skin on her face. Sori is also having trouble in opening her eyes.
Sori was brought to New Delhi on Sunday (Feb 21) evening for further treatment and is likely to be admitted in AIIMS. Sori told reporters that she fears for her life and for the safety of her kids.
Sori was attacked on Saturday evening by unknown assailants in Dantewada as she was returning from Bastanar town to her residence in Geedam town. Sori alleged that the attackers were sent by the police who have been sending her threats for several days now.
She alleged that her attackers told her not to raise her voice against Hadma or else her daughter would face worse situations. Hadma Kashyap was a tribal farmer who was allegedly killed in a fake encounter.
