Delhi: Sheila Dikshit, Harshvardhan file their nomination papers
Dikshit was accompanied by her son and MP Sandeep Dikshit.
Exuding confidence Dikshit said that Congress will retain power in Delhi. "I am confident that Congress will retain power in Delhi," she said after filing her papers.
Delhi will go to polls on December 4
Meanwhile Harshvardhan, who was accompanied by Delhi BJP Chief Vijay Goel, senior party leader VK Malhotra, filed his papers at the Deputy Commissioner's office in Geeta Colony in East Delhi. He was supported by many BJP workers.
Harshvardhan said: "It has always been a fight in between the Congress and the BJP in Delhi and it will be the same again." He added that the whole party was working together to defeat Congress.
Sheila Dikshit, in her constituency, will be competing against BJP's former chief Vijayender Gupta and Aam Aadmi Party's Arvind Kejriwal for the Assembly elections slated for December 4.
