Delhi polls: Voters working in NCR get paid leaves at EC's directive
"We have asked district administrations of neighbouring states to give Delhi employees leave on the election day. If any employer deducts salaries of such employees or force them to come to office, action will be taken against them," Delhi's Chief Electoral Officer Vijay Dev Dev said on Tuesday.
To ensure that officials on poll duty along with general public do not face any hurdle in reaching polling stations, special services of Metro and DTC buses were made available. Metro service began at 4.30 am on December 4 while buses started plying from 3 am from specific terminals.
