The decision was taken in a meeting of the party's Central Election Committee chaired by Congress President Sonia Gandhi along with PM Manmohan Singh.
According to reports, in the meeting the party leadership examined the criteria and the process on which the screening committee had finalised the tickets and also the basis on which the applications of some candidates were rejected.

The meeting also discussed the names of the candidates for Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. The meeting was attended by Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, PCC Chief JP Agarwal and AICC secretary general in-charge for Delhi Shakeel Ahmed.
While Aam Aadmi Party has announced its candidates for the elections, Delhi BJP will most likely announce its candidates by Oct 31.
BJP is scheduled to have an election committee meeting on Thursday, where candidates for Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan will be chosen along with this the candidates for Delhi may also be finalised.
