Debates, discussion promised ahead of Parliament's Winter Session
New Delhi, Nov 24: Winter Session of the Parliament, which is all set to begin on Monday, Nov 24 looks to be a stormy affair, as the Opposition is determined to pin the Narendra Modi led government in the Parliament.
The Opposition has planned to question the government on black money issue and also the insurance bill. The Opposition also wants Modi to clarify his stand on hate speeches and communal tensions in the country.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday that he hoped for a smooth Winter Session and said that the government will continue to talk to the opposition on various issues. He even praised the Opposition in the last session.
He said that he was confident that the Winter Session will be as productive as the Budget Session. Meanwhile, Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge said: "Lot of issues like price rise, black money, need to be dealt with, need to be given an hour each in the Winter Session."
The Winter Session will continue till Dec 23 and will have 22 sittings. There are 67 bills pending in the Parliament and focus will be more on the Insurance Bill and the Black Money issue.
