Danish rape case: Accused left evidence, all eight identified
While 2 have been arrested in the case, two have been detained. Police sources, however, claim that all eight have been identified. The woman in her statement had said that four men took her to a secluded spot and eight men raped her, after looting her valuables. The woman had lost her way back to the hotel after visiting the National Museum. She asked for directions to these very men, she alleged.
She further said that she had been detained between 4pm and 7pm, after which she took an autorickshaw to the hotel and confided everything to a fellow tourist. The police was informed and the rest followed.
While the Danish government has decided to persue the case till the end, the incident is a major set back for the Aam Aadmi Party whose one of the main agendas was to make the city safer for women.
