Crucial AICC meet today; Seemandhra MPs barred; Andhra CM to skip meet
It was revealed on Thursday evening that Congress president Sonia Gandhi objected to the vice-president's anointment as the Congress's prime ministerial candidate at the Congress Working Committee meeting. She reportedly said that it is against the Congress's tradition to declare a prime ministerial candidate before the elections.
But will Rahul Gandhi spell out his vision as the poll campaign chief at the meeting today?

Meanwhile, the Congress high command barred six party MPs from the Seemandhra region from attending the meet, anticipating trouble. At least three MPs are likely to protest outside the venue. The decision came as a result of the notice which was served by them seeking approval to move an informal resolution asking the AICC to revoke the decision to form a separate Telangana state by bifurcating Andhra Pradesh.
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy is also set to skip the crucial meet.
