Congress waiting for Rahul to finalise Delhi list
New Delhi, Nov 8: Unable to arrive at a consensus regarding the Delhi candidates list, Congress election screening committee has decided to wait for Rahul Gandhi to finalise the list.

The congress's prime ministerial candidate was attending a rally at Jammu and Kashmir yesterday and today he will be going to Chhattisgarh. CEC is likely to meet on 9 November, sources said.

The screening committee has prepared a tentative list which will be then forward to the Congress party's Central Election Committee (CEC) that will take the final call.

The formal process of election begins on 10 November, with the election commission's issue of notification, following which the candidates can begin filing their nominations. The last date for filing nominations is 16 November.

However, BJP announced its first list of 62 candidates for Delhi on 6 November). It has chosen to field senior state leader and former BJP Delhi chief Vijender Gupta to take on three-time Congress Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit and Aam Aam Admi Party's Arvind Kejriwal.
