New Delhi, May 8: There seems to be a flurry of activities that the Congress party may have lined up in a bid to revamp itself. While Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi is more visible and more pro-active these days, reports of his elevation to party's president post are doing the rounds again.
On Thursday, Rahul Gandhi made his debut on social networking site Twitter [First tweet posted from Rahul Gandhi's office Twitter account]. Previous day, he attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government saying that the 'government was for a few industrialists in the country.'
Last month, Rahul was seen making an argument against the Land Bill in the Parliament and was also seen batting for net neutrality. Amidst all this party spokesperson Randeep Surjewala told a news channel that leaders across the party have asked Rahul to take charge.
Rahul will be meeting AICC Secretaries on May 8
"When change will happen, it will happen according to the Constitution of the Congress," he said. Congress leader Sachin Pilot too had earlier said that Rahul's elevation in the party will be after a consensus.
Meanwhile, Rahul will interact with AICC Secretaries today and will plan the 'road map' for the future. He will also be visiting Telangana next week.
