Campaigning for 6th phase
New Delhi, April 22: The campaigning for the sixth of the nine-phase Lok Sabha election scheduled on Thursday is set to conclude on Tuesday. One-hundred and seventeen conctituencies in 11 states and one Union Territory will go to the election in this phase, the second biggest in this national election. A number of heavyweight candidates are in fray in this phase and some of them include Aam Aadmi Party's Meera Sanyal, BJP's Shahanawaz Hussain, NCP's Tariq Anwar, Congress's Milind Deora and others. Actor-politician Rakhi Sawant is also in the fray from Mumbai North West constituency in this fray.

Tamil Nadu will see the maximum number of constituencies going to the poll in the sixth phase (all 39) followed by Maharashtra (19), Uttar Pradesh (12), Madhya Pradesh (10), Bihar and Chhattisgarh (7 each), Assam and West Bengal (6 each), Rajasthan (5), Jharkhand (4) and Puducherry and Jammu and Kashmir (1 each).

The final day is set to see some intense campaigning by heavyweights from various parties. While BJP's prime ministerial cabdidate is set to address rallies in Maharashtra and Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh, Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi will hold rallies in Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh and rajasthan.

A total of 232 rallies have gone to the poll in five phases completed so far. Each phase has witnessed huge turnouts.
