UIDAI man Nandan Nilekani joins Congress
New Delhi, March 9: The co-founder of Infosys and chairman of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), Nandan Nilekani, has been named in the first list of MPs contesting for Lok Sabha from Congress party on Sunday.

According to reports, Nilekani has joined Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee and has been given a ticket from Bangalore South.

The Bangalore billionaire has already launched campaign in the Bangalore South Lok Sabha constituency and is rigorously working with the youth for a better Bangalore.

He will be standing against BJP leader Ananth Kumar who has won seats five times from the area.

Issues of public transport, education and water supply will be some of the areas of focus during his election campaign.

Meanwhile, Nilekani will be resigning from his post as UIDAI chairman around the middle of this month.

Nilekani is the first IT czar to contest Lok Sabha elections.
