Arvinder Singh files nomination, declares assets worth Rs 32.5 lakh

, Nov 14: According to reports, the properties of former transport minister Arvinder Singh increased by three-folds going up from Rs 31 lakh to Rs 92 lakhs in the past five years.

On Wednesday Singh filed his nomination from Gandhi Nagar and declared his assets- Rs 32.5 lakh in cash and deposits and properties worth Rs 60 lakh. His wife Gurveen Kaur also filed her nomination from Gandhi Nagar.

Singh will be contesting elections for the third time

Gurveen Kaur, on the other hand, declared her total assets- Rs 1.6 crore including Rs 53.89 in cash deposits and jewellery.

Singh is contesting elections for the third time. The couple have a residential plot, each in their name.

According to reports, the affidavit filled by Singh shows that he does not own any commercial property but his wife owns one in Gurgaon.

He claims that the increase in his income is because of the time he spent as a part of the council of ministers in the Delhi government.
