Arun Jaitley: Not possible to fill gaps left by Cong in five weeks
Speaking during a session in Rajya Sabha Jaitley said: "Railways is running at a loss. In February, the UPA decided to raise prices and then went back on its decision. UPA didn't take tough decisions when it should have. It is not possible to fill gaps which Congress left in 5 weeks."
Jaitley also said that there was sufficient supply of potato and onion in the market and that there was no need for panic. "Prices for some commodities rise because of lack of supply, it is not possible to fill this gap in five weeks."
Meanwhile the BSP, Congress and the CPI-M staged a walkout during Jaitley's speech.The recent railway hike led to massive protests across the country with many criticising the move.
