Advani praises Harshvardhan for pulse polio campaign in Delhi

New Delhi, Nov 29: Senior BJP leader LK Advani was all praises for Delhi Chief Ministerial candidate Harshvardhan and lauded him for a successful pulse polio campaign in 1994.

Advani in his blog posting praised Harshvardhan for launching the pulse polio campaign in Delhi when he was the Health Minister of the state. Advani in his post quoted Microsoft founder Bill Gates who has praised Harshvardhan for his achievement.

Advani heaped praises on Harshvardhan in his blog post

"When in 2004 Harshvardhan wrote this book titled, A Tale of Two Drops, he had asked me to write a foreword for the book. The first two paragraphs of the three-page foreword I wrote for him highlighting why I strongly commended to the party that he be named as the BJP's CM candidate," he said.

He also reminisces that Atal Bihar Vajpayee had referred to Harshvardhan as ‘Swasthya Vardhan' and former PM IK Gujral had called Harshvardhan as the best Health Minister in Delhi.

The BJP is in full swing promoting its CM candidate in Delhi ahead of the assembly elections. Harshavardhan has been seen campaigning extensively in Delhi and has also reached out to the doctors in the capital for support.
