AAP members : Clarify the usage of party name and symbol
Five AAP volunteers were detained on Tuesday for wearing the official party cap. On saturday too five volunteers were detained at the IP police station for distributing the party caps at a cricket match.
Now AAP wants clarification on whether a volunteer is allowed to wear party caps with its symbol on it or not.
According to the rules distribution of caps that are less than Rs 4, wearing them in a group, handing out badges and putting stickers upto 14 inches on vehicles is not allowed.
Chief nodal officer for the elections, Ankur Garg has said that anything with a utility factor is not allowed. Badges and stickers do not come under this criteria.

This is however, not the first time that AAP is running into trouble with the men in khaki. Earlier volunteers from the party were booked for defacement of public property as they stuck posters on autorickshaws. The AAP had alleged that the Delhi police was purposely targeting their party by taking their posters down.
The police has now issued show-cause notice to members of all parties including those of Congress, BJP and AAP, against whom FIRs have been registered.
