AAP co-founder to quit committees, says 'party has lost its humanity'
After former AAP MLA Vinod Kumar Binny cried foul saying that the 'AAP had betrayed the people, AAP co-founder and former diplomat Madhu Bhaduri will be withdrawing from three committees- Gender justice, foreign policy and national security because 'the AAP had now become the aam aadmi prejudice party.'
Bhaduri in an interview to HT said that she wanted to adopt a resolution that condemned the Khirki night raid carried out by Delhi Law Minister Somnath Bharti saying that the party was against any racial discrimination.
Madhu: AAP a high command party, does not allow voices of dissent
However before she could move the resolution, she was silenced by other AAP leaders, who feared the presence of media and added that 'the humanity within the AAP was dead.'
On asking if she would leave the party she said that there was no need for her to do so since she was one of the founding members of the party but said that she would be surprised if she was called for gender justice meetings. "I thought AAP is a grassroots party with grassroot people. But is it a high command party which does not allow voices of dissent," she said.
This comes to light after she condemned the raid in Khirki led by Bharti, where Ugandan nationals were allegedly forced to undergo urine test for drug abuse.
