AAP receives donations for LS Polls
New Delhi, Dec 14: Little did the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) expect that just hours after its leader Arvind Kejriwal asked people to donate once again for the re-polls in Delhi and the Lok Sabha elections in 2014, the party's account would already receive  Rs 50 lakhs.

When AAP held its victory rally in Jantar Mantar on Wednesday, Dec 11 Kejriwal appealed and urged the people to donate whole heartedly.

"When we got the requisite funds from people ahead of the Assembly elections, we had asked them not to donate more. Now we have to prepare for fresh Delhi assembly as well as the general elections 2014," he said.

AAP on Sat wrote to BJP, Congress asking their stand on Lokpal Bill

In less than 48 hours, the party received a donation of over 50 lakhs.

However on Saturday, Kejriwal said that the AAP had written to BJP and Congress seeking its opinion on 24 issues relating to Delhi.

With this claim, Kejriwal ruled out the question of fresh polls thereby hinting that if BJP or Congress agreed to AAP manifesto, it would consider forming a government in Delhi.
