Sanjay Dutt seeks another parole extension to be with his ailing wife

Mumbai, Feb 10: Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has applied for another extension of parole for the third time, as he wants to look after his ailing wife, Manyata Dutt, who recently underwent a surgery.

Dutt, who was convicted for possessing illegal weapons, has asked for 30 days parole.

Last week, Dutt approached the Pune divisional commissioner for the parole extension, so that he can spend sometime with his wife.

The divisional commissioner has asked the Khar police to verify the details and submit a detailed report.

Manyata underwent a surgery in which 'fluids werev removed from her lungs'.

Dutt is lodged in Pune's Yerwada Jail and was granted parole on December 21 last year.

Initial reports in January said that Manyata was suffering from multiple ailments of the heart and liver and was undergoing treatment at the Global Hospital in Parel, Mumbai.

In May, 2013, Dutt surrendered himself at the TADA court and since then, he is serving his 42-month jail term in Yerwada jail, Pune.
