Devendra Fadnavis to be first Maharashtra CM to have working wife

Nagpur, Oct 29: Maharashtra will formally get its 18th and second youngest chief minister 44-year-old Devendra Fadnavis on Friday.

According to TOI report, Fadnavis's wife Amruta is a banker and works as an associate vice-president with Axis Bank and also heads its business branch in Nagpur.

Amruta said that she will relocate to Mumbai when she gets a transfer from Nagpur branch.

The couple has a 5-year-old daughter Divija, who is studying in senior KG at a top Nagpur school.

Amruta, who boarded a Mumabi flight, whwn Fadnavis's name was officially confirmed as the next Maharashtra CM, said that people started greeting her inside the plane.

Fadnavis's mother Sarita, will also soon shift to Varsha, the official residence of Maharashtra CM, in Mumbai.

Sarita, told media that due to her granddaughter, she will have to shift to Mumbai.

She also said, "Mumbai can make a person mature very fast. I don't want Divija to lose her innocence early living there."

She will be flying to Mumabi on Wednesday to attend the swearing-in ceremony of her son at Wankhede Stadium on Friday.

Few people are aware of the fact that Fadnavis had tried his hand at modelling in 2006, when he was serving as an MLA from Nagpur South-West for the second term.
