Mumbai, April 2: The Left Democratic Front (LDF) is expected to return to power in Kerala in the May 16 Assembly elections by winning 86 of the 140 seats, said a pre-poll surveu conducted by news channel Times Now and CVoter.

The ruling United Democratic Front (UDF) may win just 53 states, said the survey.

The survey, which covered a period of four weeks in March, said the LDF's vote-share may increase by 0.2 per cent from 43.6 per cent garnered in 2011. The UDF, on the other hand, may see its vote-share decreasing sharply from 45.8 per cent in 2011 to 41.3 per cent in 2016.

The survey said it is the NDA and not the LDF which is likely to eat into the UDF's vote-share. The BJP-led alliance comprising the BDJS and JSS, may see its vote-share going up to 10 per cent in 2016 from 6.1 per cent in 2011.

In terms of seats, however, the BJP-alliance may win just one seat in the Assembly despite the rise in the vote-share. O Rajagopal, who is contesting from Nemom in Thurivananthapuram, may be the only winner from the BJP's camp.
